About me
Debbie Centamore
With over 25 years of leadership experience in language education, I specialize in training teachers to employ proven, research-based techniques. I have led workshops on how to teach pronunciation, use manipulatives in class, involve community members as volunteers, and how to teach grammar to grammar-shy students. There is a special place in my heart for adults with learning differences and undiagnosed learning difficulties, to help them achieve communication goals and thrive in the United States.
Throughout my career, I have supported more than 2,000 students and professionals to overcome language barriers with a focus on clarity, practical progress, and confidence in communication.
I serve as a consultant for the Massachusetts Department of Education through SABES, as the Dean of ESL programs, have been the Director of Admissions and the PDSO at an Independent school. My work is guided by real-world applications and approaches aligned with each learner’s individual goals.
Certifications: MA Best+, MAPT, TABE.
